The team will use data, advanced analytics, and insight to identify areas of improvement and optimisation to maximise output and value for the project.
Green Highland is also supporting projects in Africa, including large-scale hydropower schemes in Ethiopia. Green Highland is helping local teams to improve the reliability and availability of existing projects and help reduce reliance on Carbon intensive generation. Green Highland is proud to be helping developing countries access zero-carbon electricity.
This support has been made possible by the German overseas development fund. The Green Highland team looks forward to working with the UK development funds to ensure UK companies can play a leadership role and deliver a fair transition to Net Zero for all.
Green Highland, CEO Alex Reading, commented:
”Our extensive experience and knowledge of delivering, operating and maintaining hydropower projects in the UK and Scotland, provides the perfect platform to apply this knowledge in other countries. Hydropower is critical in achieving Net Zero, in the UK and worldwide. It’s the oldest form of electricity generation, delivering low-cost, flexible, and predictable renewable power. As a next step, we would like to work with UK Government to ensure that we continue to unlock this service around the world while creating jobs and investment in the UK.
